The Sensoric Room SNOEZELEN is a “therapeutic room equipped with devices that generate appropriately selected stimuli stimulating the senses such as sight, hearing, touch and others. Snoezelen, in Poland known as the World Experience Room, is one of the most popular methods of therapeutic work with people with various types and degrees of disability, mental disorders, brain damage, chronic pain and other health problems. Some people have unusual sensitivity to sensory stimuli, sound, smell, touch, they can be unpleasant and cause anxiety, fear or stress. This may make it more difficult to concentrate your attention and control your behavior in certain places (e.g. loud, crowded, with artificial lighting). The sensory environment can benefit not only autistic people, but also people with sensory integration disorders and Alzheimer's disease, the elderly with dementia. Snoezelen is also used by healthy people, most often in order to relax and unwind.

Sensory stimulation has been found to increase cognitive behavior and improve understanding of the environment. Time spent in a multi-sensory environment has been proven to increase motor skills, creativity, social relationships and communication, and overall awareness of the surrounding world.
